Main research fields: Engaging in the research of early paleontology, stratigraphy and early life origin and evolution from late Precambrian to early Cambrian. His main research direction at present is Ediacaran’s microfossils, biostratigraphy and chronostratigraphy. He is now the voting member of branch of the international Ediacaran, deputy director of the Specialized Committee Chinese Fossil Algae. In recent years, he has directed over 10 scientific research projects at the national and provincial and ministerial levels, making some important progress towards microbiotas group of Ediacaran and biostratigraphy in Southern China, winning 1 second class of scientific and technological achievements of the Ministry of Land and Resources, published 20 papers as the first author and corresponding author, including 1 English monograph, 12 SCI papers.
